Mount Kenya trekking offers an unforgettable high-altitude adventure on Africa's second-highest peak (5,199m / 17,057ft), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Several routes cater to different skill levels, with the Sirimon Route (easiest, scenic) and Chogoria Route (most beautiful) being most popular, while the Naro Moru Route is steeper and faster. Treks typically take 4–7 days, with the summit attempt on Point Lenana (4,985m) being non-technical and achievable for fit hikers without mountaineering experience. Best climbed during dry seasons (January–February and August–September), Mount Kenya offers stunning alpine scenery, unique equatorial glaciers, and far fewer crowds than Kilimanjaro.

12 August, 2025An incredible experience! The 3-day trek was challenging but extremely rewarding. Our guide, Peter, was fantastic and made sure we kept a good pace. The meals at Old Moses and Shipton's camp were surprisingly good and kept our energy levels high. Highly recommended for anyone short on time but wanting a real mountain experience.
