Nairobi National Park, David Sheldrick & Giraffe Centre

Begin your day with an early morning pickup from your hotel or residence in Nairobi and proceed to Nairobi National Park for an exciting morning game drive.

Located just outside the city center, Nairobi National Park offers a unique safari experience where wildlife roams freely against the backdrop of Nairobis skyline. Enjoy sightings of lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species during your game drive.

After the safari, continue to the renowned Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage), where you will witness rescued baby elephants during their feeding and mud bath session while learning about elephant conservation and rehabilitation efforts.

Later, proceed to the famous Giraffe Centre, home to the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Enjoy the unique opportunity to feed the giraffes from the raised observation platform and learn about wildlife conservation programs.

After the tour, you may enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant (optional) before being transferred back to your hotel or preferred drop-off location.

All three attractions are located within or immediately on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya's capital city, making them easily accessible within a single day. Nairobi National Park is situated just 7 km (4 miles) south of the city center, with its main gate off Lang'ata Road. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Giraffe Centre are both located in the Karen suburb, approximately 20 km (12 miles) southwest of central Nairobi and just a 5–10 minute drive from each other. The entire loop from the city center to the national park, then to Karen, and back covers roughly 40–50 km (25–30 miles) with driving times of 20–40 minutes between locations depending on traffic.

    This Nairobi day tour was the perfect introduction to Kenya's wildlife. Seeing lions, zebras, and giraffes against the backdrop of the city skyline was truly unforgettable.     This was a fantastic day out! Getting so close to the elephants at the sanctuary was a magical experience, and seeing rhinos at the park was the highlight of our trip. The guides were friendly and full of knowledge. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nairobi!
